The Sinner is the second book in the Lord universe by Shantel Tessier. It is a Dark College Romance and a standalone.
Ellington Asher is a college girl with secrets. After witnessing a traumatic event, she begins a relationship with a masked intruder. She never sees his face and he barely speaks to her. Ellie is very ashamed of her sexual needs. She is obsessed with her best friend’s brother Easton Sinnet AKA Sin. Sin is a typical Lord. Gets what he wants when he wants it. Now that he is in his senior year, he wants Ellie. The pair has to navigate the precarious world of the Lords and fight if they want to be together.
Sin carried this book for me just like Ryat did in “The Ritual”. I still like Ryat more though because he was a tiny bit more open with his feelings while Sin played with Ellie. We, the readers, can tell Sin loves Ellie but his actions drove her to the brink of sanity. I will say I liked Ellie a lot more than Blakely. She was not as naive but her view of sex and shame towards her personal kinks was very sad. It is understandable given her history though.
The plot had me on the edge of my seat and at times yelling (in my head). The spice was top notch. The Lords’ universe is just so fascinating and I will keep reading any future books. Definitely recommend for Dark Romance lovers.
