Title: One Shot

Author: B.J. Harvey

Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

Spice: 🌶🌶🌶

One shot is a New Adult Contemporary Romance by B.J. Harvey. It’s the first book in the Chances Series but can be read as a standalone.

This one started off soo good. Completely sucked me in right away. Kenzie is sassy chick who values honesty above all. She’s a straight shooter who lays out her intentions and boundaries straight away. Millen in the beginning was great. He kept up with Kenzie’s banter and seemed like he was on the same page she was regarding honesty.

The author did an amazing job articulating the feelings of Kenzie’s heartbreaks. I could feel her pain and did get a little misty eyed. I will admit the angst did get a little over the top but it wasn’t in a bad way. It wasn’t too believable but it did keep me entertained. The ending was a little abrupt. I wanted a little more to play out. The epilogue left a lot to be desired. Overall, I did like the book, the over the top angst and abrupt ending didn’t wow me though.
